Zoom Wind “Gym” Sock

Yesterday I was filming outside using the Zoom H4N recorder to compensate for our video camera’s poor quality microphone.  However, the wind was blatting out the sound of the microphone.   I had to throw out the footage, but that’s okay, I like how this video turned out.  I enjoy making videos and editing them.  I just wish I had more time available to do it.

I haven’t posted anything in a while.  I have been swamped at work and even though I am on Spring Break I have been playing catchup with home projects. We lost our snow plow during the last snow storm.  The engine threw a rod. I was hoping to nurse it for a few more seasons.  We also applied for a building permit; more about that later, and today we found out we are under quarantine for strep throat.

Honestly, we have been very busy and being that I combine the blog with YouTube, I am unable to keep up with the YouTube rat race.  I would like to shoot and edit more videos, but who am I kidding, I don’t have the time.  Also, to setup equipment to film when I want to spend that time building this summer doesn’t appeal to me much.  I would like to earn extra revenue to purchase equipment to improve our online presence, but that takes money and we don’t make enough in advertisement revenue to purchase much.  I received our first ad revenue paycheck after beginning uploading videos in 2017. That was over 2 years of work and shenanigans created by YouTube, that effort was worth a few pennies per hour of work.  Federal minimum wage is real wealth compared to our ad revenue.

Looking at the data, and the conflict I already have with social media’s in the open addictive nature, I accept our status online for what it is.  This blog is my creative outlet, and it saddens me that I can’t visit it as often.  Hopefully, you will enjoy the post today.  I have a few other videos almost ready to go, but still trying to figure how to work them in this week.

  1. Hey guys! Hope you’re doing well besides the strep throat. It is hard juggling everything but if it’s something you really want, that extra push to make it happen will be worth it. I had to put the blog on the back burner because we have been do busy. I started my own virtual assistant business and trying to get my name out there is hard. I’m not a sales person but I know if I can get the first couple clients it’ll get easier. Sorry about your snow plow.

  2. You two crack me up! But it DID seem to work great. 🙂 I’m always amazed me with what do. 🙂
I can’t begin to express how grateful I am to you, for traveling so far to attend our “Welcome Home” for Maria. She was overwhelmed with Love that ALL of her Aunt’s, Uncle’s, and cousins gave her, and so was I. Since I hadn’t seen you since your wedding day, it was wonderful to see you again, and to meet your Son. I just hope it doesn’t take that long to get together again. God Bless you and your wonderful family. I Love you all

    BIG Hug’s,

    Aunt Patty-Dawn and Bruce ❤
